Every young mom deserves a safe place to call home, a strong support system, and the opportunity to build a brighter future. UpLift Johnson County is honored to partner with Angelcare to transform their lower level into a welcoming space that will allow their ministry to grow and better serve the young women who call Angelcare home.
What is Angelcare?
Angelcare is a faith-based ministry dedicated to serving pregnant teens in crisis. Founded by Rita Norwood, Angelcare provides a free, loving home where young mothers can find safety, stability, and support during one of the most vulnerable times of their lives.
The Angelcare house is a newly built, 9,000 square-foot home designed to shelter and mentor up to 12 teen girls through their pregnancy journey — all at no cost to the residents. Inside, young mothers can continue their education, build life and parenting skills, and receive emotional and spiritual counseling, all within a nurturing, Christ-centered environment. The home is designed not just as a shelter, but as a place where these young women are truly seen, loved, and equipped for the future.
Beyond the residential program, Angelcare also offers off-site services including prenatal and postpartum doula support, counseling, and parenting classes — with the simple but powerful mission of saving two lives: the mother's and the baby's.
What We Are Building
With your support, we have the opportunity to transform Angelcare's unfinished lower level into a welcoming, functional space that better serves the young women and babies who call Angelcare home. While plans are still being finalized, every donation brings us closer to creating spaces that encourage learning, connection, wellness, and independence.

A comfortable gathering space for movie nights, parenting classes, and community activities

A donation boutique where moms can earn points and "shop" for baby clothes, diapers, and other essentials

Dedicated storage to organize the generous donations Angelcare receives throughout the year
